Pakistan’s athlete Sana is among the torch bearers for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympic World Games.
Berlin (Germany) The opening ceremony of the 16th Special Olympic World Games will be held on Saturday, June 17, at the Olympia Stadium in Koberlin at 8:20 PM local time in Germany. Athletes will participate in the opening ceremony parade welcomed by Special Olympics President, Timothy Shriver while German President Frank Walter Steinmeier will formally announce the opening of the Games.
Sana Kuswa from Pakistan is selected by the organizers of the World Games to be among the torchbearers of the opening ceremony.
It should be noted that out of 190 countries, athletes from only 7 countries have the honour of lighting the torch of the World Games.
