Message from the President of Pakistan Federation Baseball
Dear fellow sports enthusiasts and stakeholders,
I write to you today as the President of the Pakistan Federation Baseball, deeply concerned about the lack of support from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for our baseball players and other team event sports players, who are set to participate in the upcoming Asian Games in China.
It is disheartening to witness the disparity in support when compared to other sports like Kabbadi, hockey, and volleyball, which receive the necessary resources and backing from the PSB. Our dedicated baseball players, who recently brought honor to our nation by winning the West Asia Cup, deserve equal opportunities and the support they need to represent Pakistan on the international stage.
We respectfully urge the Minister of Sports and the Director General of Sports to acknowledge the significance of this issue on our federation and the overall development of baseball in Pakistan. We kindly request them to reconsider their decision and provide, at the very least, air tickets, accommodation, food, and uniforms for our players. This support is essential to ensure their participation and enable them to compete at their best.
We firmly believe that every sport possesses the potential to contribute to the pride and success of our nation. Therefore, we earnestly hope that the government, through the Ministry of Sports and the Pakistan Sports Board, will address this matter promptly, ensuring that all sports, including baseball, receive equitable support, recognition, and resources.
Together, let us strive for a future where all athletes, regardless of their sport, have equal opportunities to represent Pakistan with pride on the international sporting stage. Let us create an environment that fosters the growth and development of all sports in our beloved nation.
