Journalist Harassed and Threatened in Peshawar, Police Inaction Despite CCTV Evidence

Peshawar… Despite clear CCTV footage, Gulbarg police in Peshawar failed to take any action in response to the harassment and death threats directed towards journalist Musratullah, who was covering the sports department.
The incident occurred twelve days ago when three unidentified individuals attacked the journalist near the main gate of Peshawar Sports Complex after Asr prayer on June 20. Armed with a baton, they physically assaulted the journalist in front of the gate while watchmen stood by, and then proceeded to issue threats on his life. Following the threats, the assailants fled the scene in a car.
Despite the availability of CCTV footage capturing the entire incident, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have made no progress in identifying or apprehending the culprits.
