Successful Archery Competition Marks Pakistan’s Independence Day Celebration

On the occasion of the 14th of August, a captivating archery competition took place at the Peshawar Sports Complex, orchestrated by the Pakhtunkhwa Archery Club. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around fifteen archers representing various categories. Notably, the highlight of the competition was the thrilling 30-meter archery showdown, showcasing the remarkable talents of eighteen skilled archers.
The prestigious closing ceremony had the privilege of hosting Zulfiqar Butt, the Secretary of the Archery Federation, as the esteemed guest. Adding to the charm of the occasion, the nationally acclaimed archer, Israr from Khyber district, also graced the event with his presence. Israr, representing Al-Haq, joined in distributing well-deserved prizes to the outstanding archers.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary Zulfiqar Butt, emphasized the significance of honing one’s skills and maintaining consistency in the game. He encouraged the players to strive for excellence, underscoring that success can be achieved through unwavering dedication. Furthermore, he urged the athletes to not only excel in their respective fields but also contribute to the progress and honor of Pakistan.
The event commenced with a serene recitation of the Holy Quran, in which the participating archers took part. Subsequently, a special prayer was offered, seeking blessings for the growth and prosperity of the nation. This event not only celebrated Pakistan’s independence but also showcased the nation’s dedication to sports and unity, fostering a brighter future for the country.
