In a recent statement, President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association, Syed Zahir Shah, firmly refuted the spread of unfounded rumors. The orders released today by the Brigadier include the following directives.
As per the PHF Act, the PSB has suspended all office bearers except the President. The remaining cabinet members will be subjected to fresh elections.
To facilitate this process, only the Congress members who were present on August 19, 2022, will be eligible to participate.
Syed Zahir Shah further shared that the Congress is scheduled for August 31st at 12:30. During this gathering, all cabinet members will seek a vote of confidence from the Congress attendees.
In the event that no member steps forward to seek a vote of confidence, an alternative representative will be appointed. President Zahir Shah emphasized that the Congress will comprise individuals who were either part of the August 19, 2022 meeting or have attended subsequently. There exists no room for dissent on this matter.
In accordance with Article 17/2 of the Constitution, all members apart from the President are obligated to participate in the vote of confidence.
Zahir Shah concluded by affirming his commitment to clarifying this matter for both hockey enthusiasts and officials alike.
