In the realm of sports coaching, maintaining transparency is paramount, especially in the recruitment process for daily wages coaches. Recent revelations expose that a number of these coaches possess fraudulent documents, aiding their employment through deceptive means.

Over the course of several years, the performance of coaches affiliated with various sports has remained subpar, failing to nurture exceptional talent in their respective fields. Disturbingly, it has come to light that within the sports directorate, some individuals are primarily seeking financial gains rather than fulfilling their roles as bona fide coaches.

The repercussions of entrusting these coaches with the education of young athletes are severe and far-reaching. Their influence is akin to playing with the prospects of children, potentially jeopardizing their futures.
To compound the issue, the provincial sports directorate not only demands fees from aspiring athletes upon enrollment but also imposes monthly charges. Shockingly, the services offered in return are often lacking in even the most rudimentary coaching techniques.

Prominent sports like athletics, cricket, and squash, which boast considerable participation, particularly from female athletes, suffer from this lax coaching approach.

The associations connected to these sports have raised their voices against the stagnation caused by permanent coaches who are neglectful of their duties, frequently absent, and ineffective.
Conversely, daily wages coaches, despite their temporary status, tend to display greater commitment. The driving force behind this discrepancy lies in the fact that these coaches independently charge extra fees from their students, supplementing their income substantially. Regrettably, while the Provincial Sports Directorate provides infrastructure and resources, the funds are disproportionately finding their way into the pockets of individual coaches.

Adding to the alarming situation, certain permanent coaches are found to cherry-pick favored players, offering them personalized attention at an additional cost. This practice persists even though these coaches are entrusted with the comprehensive training of all individuals under their care.

The onus falls upon the provincial sports directorate to address this pressing issue promptly. The associations underline that the present circumstances are causing sports to become a privilege of the affluent. Those who lack financial means are denied access to proper coaching, hindering their skill development and growth in the field.

It is imperative that immediate measures are taken to rectify this situation. Transparency must be upheld in the recruitment of coaches, and a comprehensive evaluation of coaching practices is essential. Only through these collective efforts can sports be truly inclusive and hold the potential to unearth exceptional talents from all walks of life.
