The sports community has expressed deep concern regarding the escalating costs and frequent color changes of sports kits. They have earnestly called upon Minister of Sports, Dr. Najeebullah, to take immediate action. With the secretary and director general of the department currently abroad, the community implores Dr. Najeebullah to personally visit the academy. Furthermore, they request him to convene a gathering with the parents of these young athletes, fostering an open dialogue.
This initiative aims not only to address the issues faced by the cricket academy but also to halt the continuous alteration of kit colors. According to sources within the sports community, these cricket academies operate under the purview of the provincial department. Therefore, the management of kits should be entrusted to the provincial sports directorate. This strategic move would ensure that the revenue generated from the kits is channeled into the accounts of the provincial sports directorate, rather than lining the pockets of private individuals and contractors.
In addition to bolstering the provincial sports directorate’s finances, this approach would also put an end to the cyclical process of kit color changes within the cricket academy. Ultimately, all players would be able to demonstrate uniformity by donning identical kits
