KP Sports Directorate Seeks Private Firms and Contractors to Revive Cricket Academies

In a move aimed at rejuvenating inactive cricket academies across different districts of the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate has issued an open invitation to firms and contractors to submit applications for their management and operation.
As of now, a significant number of cricket academies lie dormant, prompting the need for private sector involvement to breathe new life into these sporting facilities. The Sports Directorate has set a deadline of September 30 for interested firms and contractors to apply for the opportunity to oversee these academies.
While specific details about rental agreements and other pertinent information have not been disclosed, prospective applicants are urged to promptly submit their applications to the Sports Directorate by the aforementioned deadline.
This initiative marks the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate as the second entity, following in the footsteps of the SPB Peshawar Center, to opt for private management of its sports academies. Earlier, the SPB Peshawar Center successfully transitioned its table tennis academy into a privately operated gym, setting a precedent that is now being mirrored by the Provincial Sports Directorate.
