Karachi: In the Sindh Softball Association’s marathon elections meeting, the Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Saleem Rajput was elected as the Patron-in-Chief of the association while Muhammad Ali Shah, Fatima Lakhani, Omar Saeed, Syed Wasim Hashmi emerged as Patrons. Besides, Municipal Commissioner of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Syed Afzal Zaidi has been elected as Chairman, while Dr. Farhan Essa is the new President of the association and Huma Bukhari emerged as the uncontested Chairperson.

In the election meeting for the next two-year term held at the Union Club, the Chief Election Commissioner and Secretary General of the Sindh Olympic Association, Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput, announced the names of the successful officials. All the candidates were elected unopposed.

Among other officials, Asif Azeem was named as Senior Vice President, Dr. Hina Jamshed Khan, Salma Khan, Abid Mahmood Sheikh, and Nadeem Khan as Vice Presidents, Murad Hussain Vice Chairman; and Tehmina Asif as Secretary Women Wing.

Others who were declared successful include Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant for General Secretary, Shahid Aftab as Joint Secretary, Muhammad Nasir as Finance Secretary, Nigar Mangi and Shagufta Kazmi as Associate Secretaries, Usama Bin Shuja as Chairman Umpiring, Faraz Ejaz as Chairman Coaching and Muhammad Iqbal were elected Chairman Technical Committee.

Besides Imran Ali Baloch, Syed Hasan Askari, and Muhammad Rehan were elected as members of the Executive Committee on this occasion.
On the occasion, the House also approved the minutes of the previous meeting and the calendar for the coming year.
