People Demand Notice of Closure of Bannu Sports Complex Gate
A video of the gate of the Bannu Sports Complex being closed has gone viral on the internet. The video was uploaded by local people yesterday.
In the video, it is said that the gate of the sports complex has been completely closed and people are not being allowed to enter. A large number of people are standing outside the main gate while the police have also reached the spot.
The video is being shared in groups, in which people are demanding that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Minister take notice of the matter.
Regional Sports Officer Shafqatullah said that the department is introducing a card system and that people should follow the rules. He said that the land of the sports complex was purchased by the Sports Directorate from the Cantonment Board.
The people in the video are from three different villages and they claim that the complex is built on their land and that they have the right to enter.
Shafqatullah said that the problem has been resolved now and that the police were called to the scene. He said that if people create problems, an FIR will be filed.
He also said that management committees have been formed and that only players will be allowed to enter the complex on the indication of the association.
Shafqatullah said that some people come to the complex without kits and that this is why the number of people who lose weight is also high. He said that the department cannot allow people to enter the complex during the game.
