First Anniversary Celebrations of Pakistan’s First Sports Radio Station and Radio Pakistan Channel, Sports FM 94 Islamabad
Held in The event was hosted by Sports FM 94 in collaboration with Serena Hotel.
People belonging to different walks of life including the corporate circle participated in the event. Among the guests were Saqib Faiq, President Rawalpindi Awan of Industry and Trade), Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, former Mayor of Islamabad and Hasan Raza, former Test cricketer.
In his welcome address, Bilal Khan, in-charge of Sports FM 94, shed light on the channel’s past one year status and various upcoming projects. He thanked Radio Pakistan Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for their support in establishing Pakistan’s first sports radio station.
He also expressed his gratitude to various sponsors, including Serena Hotels, Radisson Blu, J7, Zarko, NeverWonder World.
President RCCI Saqib Faiq will use sports radio station in his address between Siraha and RCCI and Sports FM K94.
Expressed willingness to establish a joint consortium.
Senior cricket expert and commentator Kashif Shabbir spoke about the importance of sports radio stations in the modern era and the need for commentary on radio stations. Commentator Javed Khan was awarded the best commentator in Urdu and was appreciated for his work. He had performed his responsibility for Radio Pakistan in 14 matches.
On this occasion, Sports FM 94 distributed awards and certificates to the best commentators, anchors and sports experts who appreciated the channel’s cooperation.
Music and light comedy segments were also presented to the attendees at the anniversary event. At the end of the ceremony, Sports FM 94’s first-ever cake was cut. Director Programs Radio Pakistan Muhammad Hasan Askari in his closing remarks paid tribute to the team of Sports FM and appreciated their hard work and dedication. He reiterated all possible support for the further growth and development of the channel.

Sports FM station was started
