World Cup: Afghanistan beat Netherlands by 7 wickets

Afghanistan defeated Netherlands by 7 wickets in the 34th match of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

In the match at the Ratna Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India, the captain of the Netherlands, Kuman Edwards, won the toss and decided to bat first.

Afghanistan achieved the target of 180 runs in 31.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Afghanistan’s first wicket fell on a total score of 27 when Rahmanullah Garbaz got out after scoring 10 runs, the second wicket fell on a total score of 55 by Ibrahim Zadran who went on to score 20 runs.

Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi and Rahmat Shah advanced the score by showing responsible batting, but Rahmat Shah got out after scoring 52 runs while Hashmatullah Shahidi remained unbeaten with 56 runs and Azmatullah Omarzai with 31 runs.
