Iqra University hosted opening ceremony of Talent Hunt Youth Sports League Badminton National League
Karachi- (Sports Reporter) Iqra University organised the opening ceremony of Sports Gala Karachi. More than 800 players and dignitaries from all over Pakistan gathered to compete in the Talent Hunt Youth Sports League Badminton National League under the umbrella of Prime Minister’s Youth Program as well as All Pakistan HEC Intervarsity Boxing & Karate Championship 2023 -24 at Karachi between 27th till 30th December 2023.
Iqra University under the management of Vice Chancellor, Prof.Dr. Nassar Ikram welcomed athletes and said that Higher Education Commission Pakistan have been forefront leaders in revival of sports at university level. He later praised Director / In-Charge Sports HEC, Javed Ali Memon, efforts he has put in to support the student in the field of sports.Javed Ali Memon,
continued and said that HEC vision is to increase the standards of athletes to reach at international level and raise the flag of Pakistan which can only be done through using scientific approach to help athletes attain their maximum efficiency.
He further praised the efforts put up by the organisers for hosting a wonderful event. National Badminton Champion Ms Mahoor Baloch was also available as the Chief Guest of the event along with General Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association,
Khalid Mehmood, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association Ahmed Ali Rajput, Chairman Sindh Kabbadi Association, Ghulam Yaseen and Director Sports of universities all over Pakistan.
