Olympians XI beat Deputy Commissioner District Central XI by 4-3
In the women’s match, Olympian Islahuddin XI beat Deputy Commissioner XI by 3-2 goals.
Karachi: Exhibition hockey matches were held at Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy. Men’s and women’s matches were played between Olympians XI and Deputy Commissioner District Central XI. In the first match played yesterday, Olympians XI defeated Deputy Commissioner
District Central XI was defeated by four goals against three. On behalf of the winning team, Olympian Qamar Ibrahim, Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain, Wasif Raza and Zahid Ghaffar scored one goal each, while Saeed from DC Central XI. Muqadas Siddiqui, Umima Khan and Sundus Khan scored one goal each for winners and for loser Mubashra, Mufsira managed to score for DC Central XI.
DC Central Fawad Ghaffar Soomro distributed the prizes among the players as the chief guest. Before that, Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah arrived at the Hockey Academy along with Assistant Commissioner North Nazimabad Imran Solangi and they were warmly welcomed.
