Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Inter School & Inter collegiate Hockey Tournament from Jan 10
Karachi: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Inter school and Inter collegiate Hockey Tournament will start from January 10 at Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy. 12 girls and boys teams will participate in the tournament. Islahuddin held a press conference at Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy.Dr. Farhan Essa,
organizing secretary of the tournament Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain, and Dr. Nayer Jabeen were also present with him. Olympian Islahuddin said that the tournament which started from January 10 will continue till January 15.
The tournament will be inaugurated in the morning of January 10. Teams from six boys schools and six girls colleges will participate in the event. Olympian Sameer Hussain has been appointed as the organizing secretary,
the top scorer, best player, prizes have also been kept in the tournament, Olympian Islahuddin said that our aim is to promote the national game.if hockey is to stand on its feet in Pakistan then the teams of the departments have to be restored. In today’s era, the establishment of administrative teams has become inevitable,
he said that by creating a pool of players who performed well in the tournament, they will be trained in the training camp, and opportunities to play with Olympians will also be provided, on this occasion.
Dr. Farhan Essa said that our national sport is not given the same importance as it is given to cricket. Olympian Sameer Hussain said that the best arrangements have been made to organize the event in a dignified manner and secret committees have been formed in this regard. Tournaments are organized regularly in Islahuddin Academy. From this platform, future stars are emerging.
