Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Elects Diverse Cabinet, Ushering in New Era for the Sport
PESHAWAR: Under the watchful eyes of national officials, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association (KP Archery) elected its first-ever inclusive cabinet,
marking a new chapter for the sport in the province. The election, held on 21 January in Peshawar, saw representatives from all districts, including previously marginalized areas, raise their hands to approve the diverse new leadership.
First Inclusive Cabinet: For the first time, the KP Archery cabinet includes representatives from annexed districts, ensuring wider participation and development.
Imtiaz Ahmed & Sara Khan Lead the Way: Former hockey player Imtiaz Ahmed takes the helm as President, while Sara Khan becomes the first female Secretary.
Strong Vice President Team: Sohail Khan (Malakand), Naveed Khan (Mardan), Rahmatullah Khan (Peshawar) share Vice President responsibilities, showcasing a geographically balanced leadership.
Women’s Representation Rises: Shazia Khan from Swabi takes on the important role of Deputy Secretary General, solidifying female leadership within the association.
National Support: Colonel Sadaf, President of Pakistan Archery Federation, applauds the inclusivity and pledges continued support for talent development in KP.
