Australia defeated defending champions India by 79 runs in the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup to become world champions for the fourth time.

In the final match of the ICC U-19 World Cup in Benoni, South Africa, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. For India, Raj Lambani took 3 wickets, Naman Tiwari took 2 wickets while Somi Pandey and Mushir Khan took one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 254 runs, the entire Indian team was bowled out for 174 runs in 43.5 overs, opener Adarsh Singh played an innings of 47 runs, Mushir Khan scored 22 runs, Murugan Abhishek scored 42 runs and Nauman Tiwari scored 14 runs.
While no other player could enter in double figures. Earlier, Harjas Singh scored 55 runs on behalf of Australia, Captain Hugh Webgen scored 48 runs and Harry Dixon played a brilliant innings of 42 runs.
