Usman’s 118 & Abbas Afridi’s 71 plays key role in Fata win
PESHAWAR: Fata Under 16 region cricket team defeated Abbottabad region by 137 runs in the national tournament of Pakistan Cricket Board played at Faisalabad Cricket ground.
Muhammad Usman 118 and Abbas Afridi 71 runs played a vital role in Fata winning. Fata team qualified for the triangular stage of the tournament and so far have won all their matches in the event.
Fata team made 293 score while batting first.Sudais and Muhammad Saim of Abbottabad got 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Chasing the big target Abbottabad under 16 all team were bowled out for 156 runs. Fata Muhammad Haroon took 3 wickets while Waqar Afridi, Naveed Khan and Saeed Khan got 2 wickets each.
Talking to media, Fata region coach Riaz Kail said all players of the team working hard and struggling for winning the match, adding Fata players mainly focus on their game and playing with a specific strategy.
He expressed hope for winning triangular stage matches of the tournament and will try also to reach the final and win the PCB trophy of Under 16 region.
