South Asia Badminton Championship will start from Sunday

Islamabad By Nawaz Gohar; South Asia U-17 & U-15 Badminton Championship will start from Sunday (today, March 3), at Liaquat Gymnasium, Islamabad.

Vice Presidents of Badminton Asia, Mr. Pouria Ghulam (Iran) and Miss Khaloud Bither will be the chief guests on occasion of the opening ceremony.

This was stated by the President, Pakistan Badminton Federation, Wajid Ali Chaudhry on Saturday.

He said that all the arrangements for the championship have been completed. Boys and Girls players from five countries including Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal are taking part in the championship.

The matches of the championship will start at 9.00 a.m. while the opening ceremony of the championship will take place at 3.00 p.m.The quarter-finals of the championship will be played on March 5, semi-finals on March 6 and the final on March 7.

President, Asia Badminton, Mr. Kim (Korea) and Vice President, World Badminton Federation, Yasim Kanso (Lebanon) who is also the Chairman Finance, World Badminton Federation will be chief guests on the concluding ceremony.
