In the 19th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Multan Sultans defeated Karachi Kings by 20 runs.

In pursuit of the target of 190 runs given by Multan Sultans, the team of Karachi Kings could only score 169 runs for 7 wickets.
In this match played at National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi, Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bat first against Karachi Kings.
Sultans suffered their first loss in the form of Reza Hendricks on 16, but after that a 148-run partnership between Usman Khan and Mohammad Rizwan did not give the Kings bowlers a chance to celebrate.
Mohammad Rizwan played an innings of 58 runs off 44 balls and was caught out for a total of 164 off Mozarabani.
However, Usman Khan on the other side of the wicket continued his aggressive innings and scored his second century in PSL. He completed his century in 56 balls.
Usman Khan played an unbeaten innings of 106 runs and played a key role in guiding his team to a total of 189.
Among the other players of Multan Sultans, Iftikhar Ahmed was out by scoring 4 runs while Khushdil Shah was not out by scoring 5 runs.
Two changes have been made in both the Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings teams for this match.
Karachi Kings have replaced Kieron Pollard and Anwar Ali with Louis Deploy and Mir Hamza.
In Multan Sultans, Chris Jordan and David Vale have been made part of the team in place of Aftab Ibrahim and Shah Nawaz.

Speaking on the occasion of the toss, Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan said that everything is going well, but more improvements are needed in all departments.
Karachi Kings captain Shaan Masood said that we are in the right direction, we want to win the match so that we can make the situation easier for ourselves in terms of qualifying for the playoffs.
