23rd match of HBL PSL Season 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan invited Lahore Qalandars to bat first after winning the toss, but Lahore Qalandars batted first at the loss of 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Scored 162 runs.
Chasing the target of 163 runs, the entire team of Islamabad United returned to the pavilion by scoring 145 runs in the 19th over, Faheem Ashraf was prominent with 41 runs, Azam Khan scored 29 runs, Naseem Shah scored 27 runs, Colin Munro scored 15 runs while No other player could get into double figures.
On behalf of Lahore Qalandars, Zaman Khan got 4, Shaheen Shah Afridi got 2 while David Wiese, Jahandad Khan and Ahsan Hafeez got one out each.
Earlier Rasi van der Dusen scored 64 runs for Lahore Qalandars, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi scored 30 runs, Sahibzada Farhan scored 2 runs, Fakhar Zaman scored 10 runs, Shai Hope scored 6 runs, Sikandar Raza scored 4 runs and Ahsan Hafeez scored 13 runs. However, David Visa remained unbeaten on 24 runs.
On behalf of Islamabad United, Roman Raees took 2 wickets, Naseem Shah, Haneen Shah, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan took one wicket each.
After the victory of Karachi Kings against Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars have been eliminated from the playoffs. Multan Sultans have already qualified for the playoffs.
Talking about the points table, Multan Sultans are first with 12 points, Peshawar and Quetta are second and third with 9 and 9 points respectively. Islamabad is fourth. Karachi is fifth with 6 points and Lahore Qalandars is last
