IMHA Ramadan Intra Academy Five A Side Hockey Tournament Concluded
IMHA Wolves clinch girls title and IMHA Bulls won the boys title.
Karachi: IMHA Ramadan Intra Academy Girls and Boys Five A Side Hockey Tournament held at Olympian Islah uddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy concluded.
In the boys’ final, IMHA Bulls beat IMHA Lions by 2-1goals. Syed Ahmad Ali and Irfan Khan scored from winning team’s one each goals, Olympian Sameer scored the only goal for the loosing team. In the girls’ final,
IMHA Wolves defeated IMHA Tigers by 3-2. On behalf of the winning team, Skipper Sundus Siddiqui scored two goals while Ariba scored one goal.from Tigers, Amna Fatima and Larib scored one each goals.
In the girls competitions, Amna Fatima was declared the top scorer with 16 goals, Sundus Siddiqui was declared the best player, Horiya was declared the best goalkeeper, Shireen Emerging and Musfra was declared the best warrior. In boys, Essa Khan was the top scorer with 15 goals,
Ali Abbas was the best player, Junaid was the best goalkeeper, Saeed Shah was the emerging player and Bilawal Abbas was the best warrior.
The chief guests were Member Provincial Assembly MQM Pakistan Adil Askari, CEO of Naeem Towels Naeem Haider, representative of Netset Saeed Umar and Peditral’s Sohaib and Miss Ayesha distributed the prizes.
Speaking on this occasion, Academy Head Coach and Chairman Organizing Committee Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain said that the management committee deserves congratulations for the successful organization of the tournament, especially Syed Alay Hasan, Syed Sagheer Hussain, Saeeda Khanum,
Asad Zaheer and Naveed Ahsan, whose hard work day and night made this tournament successful, Sameer Hussain said that under the patronage of the spirited Olympian Islahuddin of the academy,
tournaments are organized every year in the month of Ramadan with the aim of providing sports opportunities to the players. We have to do and develop talent from our academy in the past,
many players have made it to the Pakistan junior and senior teams and camps. Our women’s players have also represented the Pakistan Board.
The tournament will start in which former Olympians, internationals and national players will participate. In the end, Sameer Hussain presented souvenirs to the Chief guests, Adil Askari and Naeem Haider.
