Shahid Afridi Foundation National PDT20 Championship starts from Monday

Shahid Afridi Foundation National Physical Disability Cricket Championship will start from Monday at Karachi,matcheswill be play in different cities of the country.In the championship,
physically disabled cricketers from all over Pakistan will once again show their full potential and will be busy in the struggle to make a place in the national team along with representing their respective cities. Shahid Afridi
Foundation’s (SAF) collaboration with Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) will continue in the future, PPDCA’s services to physically disabled cricketers are unforgettable.
Shahid Afridi Foundation CEO Rizwan Ahmed, Interim Chairman Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association Imran Bilwani, General Secretary PPDCA and Tournament Director Amiruddin Ansari,
Director PPDCA Syed Tauseef Shah and Tournament Minute Secretary Muhammad Nizam gave this statement and told details of Shahid Afridi Foundation National PDT20 Cricket Championship during the press conference held at Karachi Press Club yesterday.
The participants of the press conference also expressed good wishes for the success of the event, a large number of former cricketers were also present on the occasion.Tournament director Amiruddin Ansari,
said that this time the championship will be played under a new format which will consist of two parts, the first part will be called grade one and the second grade two.
The bottom ranked team will be in Grade Two next year while the Grade Two winner will be promoted to Grade One next year.In grade one, teams from Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad, Quetta, Hyderabad,
Karachi, Bahawalpur and Multan, while in grade two, teams from Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Azad Kashmir, KPK Star Larkana, Sialkot, Quetta, Bolan and Faisalabad are included.
Grade One Championship matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore while Grade Two matches will be played in Faisalabad and Islamabad. Teams have been selected after trials in 16 regions.
The matches of the first phase of the championship grade one are starting from Monday at Rashid Latif Academy Karachi, the matches will be played on the basis of single league till May 8 where teams from Multan, Quetta, Hyderabad and Karachi will compete.
The winning team of the first stage of Grade One will compete in the final against the winning team of the second stage of Grade One in Lahore. Matches of Lahore, Islamabad,
Peshawar and Bahawalpur teams included in Grade One will be held at Race Course Park Lahore. Ameeruddin Ansari further said that the National PDT20 Cricket Championship is once again supported by the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) as well as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), for which we are thankful to these organizations.
He also thanked the electronic and print media for their generous support and hoped that this would continue.
