Pakistan bagged one gold and two bronze medals in Asian Jujitsu Championship 2024
According to the details, in the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship to be held in Abu Dhabi on 3rd and 8th May 2024, Pakistan’s five-roken team won one gold and two bronze medals for Pakistan by showing excellent performances in their respective events.
Muhammad Yusuf Ali and Umar Yasin defeated Kazakhstan in the final to win the gold for Pakistan in the Under-18 Do Classic event, while Isra Wasim and Kainat Arif won two bronze medals for Pakistan in the senior women’s category of Do Show and Do Classic. what
Chairman of Pakistan Jujitsu Federation Khalil Ahmad Khan congratulated on the success and said that Pakistan has been champion of Isha many times in senior category but for the first time Pakistan has become Asian champion in U-18 which is a matter of great pride for Pakistan.
All the members of the federation deserve congratulations and Pakistan Sports Board’s National Training Camp in Baharpur has benefited.
Pakistan has fielded the smallest team due to lack of funds while other countries such as Kazakhstan participated with 250 players, Uzbekistan with 130 players and Indian team with 73 players in the event. More than 1500 athletes from 30 countries are participating in this event.
