National Conference on the Revival of Sports Held Today

The National Conference on the Revival of Sports took place today, marking a significant step towards enhancing the sports infrastructure and promoting athletic excellence in Pakistan.
The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Mr. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, who emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the foundational infrastructure of sports and officially declared 2025 as the Year of the Revival of Sports.
In his opening address, Minister Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry highlighted the critical need for revamping the basic sports infrastructure across the country.
He expressed his vision for a unified approach to sports development, stressing the elimination of divisions within sports teams and ensuring selection based strictly on merit. “Pakistan is already home to a galaxy of star athletes,” said the Minister. “Our focus will be on nurturing this talent by providing the best possible facilities and support.”
The conference saw the attendance of many esteemed personalities from the sports fraternity, reflecting the broad support for the government’s initiative. Notable attendees included Mr. Zahoor Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of IPC, Mr. Aisam-ul-Haq, President, Pakistan Tennis Federation, Mr. Syed Mohammad Abid Qadri Gillani, President, Pakistan Olympic Association, Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kayani, Vice President, Pakistan Sports Board.
Each of these distinguished guests contributed their insights and pledged their support towards the ambitious goal of reviving and revitalizing sports in Pakistan.
