Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi meets ECB Chairman and CEO in London
• Chairman PCB holds meeting with Chairman and CEO of the England and Wales Cricket Board; England’s tour of Pakistan in October was dicussed
• Chairman PCB extended an invitation to the Chair of the ECB, Richard Thompson to visit Pakistan in October
• PCB has started working on stadium upgradation for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy; The visiting teams will be provided foolproof security and top-notch facilties – Mohsin Naqvi
London, 1 June 2024:
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi met the chair of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Richard Thomson and the Chief executive officer Richard Gould in London on Saturday. COO PCB, Salman Naseer was also present in the meeting.
The two heads of the board and their respective officials discussed various important matters between the ECB and PCB including the recently concluded and the upcoming bilateral series.
Chairman PCB extended an invitation to the chair of the England and Wales Cricket Board to visit Pakistan during England’s Test tour of Pakistan in October. Moreover, the Chairman PCB thanked and congratulated the ECB officials for all the arrangements and successful conduct of the T20 series between Pakistan and England.
The heads of both boards expressed their well wishes to England and Pakistan for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Chairman PCB briefed the ECB Chairman and CEO regarding the preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The PCB assured that not just England but all the participating teams will be provided with top-class facilities and foolproof security during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Chairman ECB expressed good wishes for PCB regarding the Champions Trophy.
