inspects Karol Ghaati Cricket Stadium and Minhala Football Ground

Continuing his inspection campaign, Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal visited Karol Ghaati Cricket Stadium and Minhala Football Ground on Friday.

District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Abbas Shah and Tehsil Sports Officer Nauman Sharif were also present on this occasion. Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal also planted a sapling at Karol Ghaati Cricket Stadium.

Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal directed the officials to improve the quality of cleanliness and take good care of at both the sports venues.

Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal on this occasion said that maximum number of athletes should take part in sports activities at these sports stadiums. “Sports officers should bring children of their respective areas to grounds and incline them towards healthy activities,” he added.

Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal said that the purpose of visits to far flung areas is to promote sports culture in these remote localities. “The promotion of sports activities among youth is our aim. It is our prime obligation to provide facilities to youngsters for taking part in sports events”.
