Peshawar DFA Denies Authority of Unauthorized Football Trials
Peshawar , District Football Association Peshawar (DFA) has categorically rejected the legitimacy of any football trials being conducted in the city without its approval.
In a press briefing, newly elected DFA secretary Haji Zahir Shah emphasized that the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has successfully concluded elections in all districts, including Peshawar.
The DFA’s newly formed cabinet, headed by President Syed Zahirshah and Treasurer Babar Khan, has asserted its sole authority to manage football-related activities in the district.
Secretary Shah clarified that individuals organizing trials without the association’s sanction are acting beyond their scope and have no official standing.
A formal letter has been dispatched to the Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
informing them about the DFA’s stance. The association has distanced itself from any such unauthorized trials and reiterated that it is the only legitimate body to oversee football matters in Peshawar.
