Prime Minister announces a reward of Rs 15 crore for Arshad Nadeem

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced a cash prize of Rs 15 crore from the Government of Pakistan for Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, to promote sports in the country.

Addressing a ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s House in honor of Olympic Gold Medalist Arshad Nadeem, Shahbaz Sharif said that today Arshad Nadeem is a heartbeat of our hearts,

which has resulted in Pakistan for 40 years as a result of his hard work and parents’ prayers. He won the Gold Medal for which the whole nation is grateful.

He said that you have doubled our happiness on this occasion of Independence Day and you have not brought the medal only after 40 years but you have Olympic compared to Javelin.

He said that the example you set at the Paris Olympics has encouraged the entire nation. We will definitely cross and make Pakistan a great power.

Addressing the former hockey Olympian Ashauddin, Shahbaz Senior and others at the ceremony, he said, “You go ahead and give your suggestions so that we can bring back the playgrounds when they sowed Pakistan, we are back.

He said that government are ready to cooperate with the provinces, you should tell us the way, make recommendations and I also announce the establishment of a committee which will determine that the sports.

Shahbaz Sharif saluted Arshad Nadeem for winning and praised Kamala Talat, a female shooter participating in the Paris Olympics.

He said that Arshad Nadeem has raised the nation proudly, so I announce a cash prize of Rs 15 crore from the government of Pakistan and the people and there will be no tax deduction on this amount.

He announced the name of ‘Arshad Nadeem Road’ permanently, while Arshad Nadeem High Performance Academy will be set up at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad.

He said that the day Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal, at the same time I asked my secretary to write a letter to the President of Pakistan immediately that Arshad Nadeem would be given Hilal -e – Pakistan .

Shahbaz Sharif said that we are going to celebrate 77th Independence Day and Arshad Nadeem is honoring the whole nation today. So today I am announcing a billion rupees of Pakistan Sports Endowment Fund. Providing training opportunities and meeting the legitimate needs of retired players will also be used.

The Prime Minister also announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for Arshad Nadeem’s coach.
