National Marathon Race to Be Held on Defense Day
Peshawar , On September 6, Pakistan will commemorate Defense Day with a National Marathon Race organized by the Provincial Sports Directorate.
The race, supported by the Athletics Federation of Pakistan, will feature athletes from across the country competing on the BRT track in Peshawar.
Jafar Shah has been appointed as the Organizing Secretary for the event, which will be the first of its kind on the BRT track. DG Sports Abdul Nasir Khan has formed various committees to ensure a successful race.
The top three finishers will receive cash prizes of 3 lakhs, 2 lakhs, and 1 lakh rupees, respectively, with additional prizes and awards for the top 20 athletes.
The Pakistan Athletics Federation will oversee the technical aspects of the race.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, traffic will be restricted on the BRT track during the marathon.
