The establishment of the Global Taekwondo Federation(GTF) has opened new possibilities for the global promotion and development of Taekwondo. Following the example set by other countries, Pakistan has also seized this opportunity and founded the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation (PGTF)
. The Federation has initiated training camps and competitions nationwide, providing athletes with training under the latest rules to prepare them for international competition and help them compete on an equal footing with the rest of the world.
PGTF President Muhammad Nabil and Secretary General Masood Khan Afridi have established regional branches across the country’s four provinces and Islamabad, aiming to strengthen Taekwondo at the grassroots level.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Global Taekwondo Association President Muhammad Ali and General Secretary Gul Afridi have launched efforts to develop Taekwondo, ensuring that athletes in the region gain access to high-quality opportunities.
As part of this initiative, a training camp has been announced at the Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar, designed to offer athletes modern training facilities.
Upon the camp’s completion, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan Global Taekwondo Championship will also be held, marking a significant milestone in this effort.
These efforts by the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation(GTF) will contribute to the growth of Taekwondo not just in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but across Pakistan.
The training camps and competitions will refine the athletes’ skills, preparing them to represent Pakistan on the global stage.
With the establishment of the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation, Taekwondo has entered a new era in the country. The Federation’s efforts are laying the groundwork for young athletes to achieve international success.
