Training Camp Kicks Off in Peshawar Under the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation
A Large Turnout of Athletes Marks the Event
PESHAWAR: A specialized training camp aimed at enhancing the skills of athletes has commenced under the auspices of the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation.
The camp, which is being held at the Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar, will continue until September 17, attracting a significant number of male and female athletes, highlighting the growing interest in this emerging sport.
The camp was officially inaugurated by Dr. Asma Muhammad, Vice President of the Pakistan Global Taekwondo Federation, by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
Also present at the occasion were Masood Afridi, Secretary-General of the Federation, Naeem Jan, Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ju-Jitsu Association, qualified archery coach Nawab Ali, and martial arts coach Naveed.
In her address to the participants, Dr. Asma Muhammad expressed her delight at the strong turnout for the training camp, emphasizing that it reflects the increasing interest of athletes in Taekwondo across Pakistan.
She reiterated her commitment to promoting the sport throughout the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and vowed to discover and nurture new talent, providing them with opportunities to showcase their skills on both national and international platforms.
Speaking at the event, Secretary-General Masood Afridi informed the attendees that the athletes participating in the camp would receive training from qualified coaches based on the latest rules of the sport.
He further announced that this initiative would continue until September 17, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-Division Championship scheduled to take place on September 21.
