No intention of ICC to move Champions Trophy 2025 from Pakistan

International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive Geoff Allardyce has said that the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Pakistan and the ICC has no intention of moving the tournament to another place.
According to the report, the United Arab Emirates In response to a question during the Women’s T20 World Cup ceremony held in UAE , ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardyce said that the Champions Trophy is being held in Pakistan so far.
He said that ICC has no plans to shift the Champions Trophy scheduled to Pakistan next year as no objection has been raised so far by any team regarding playing this tournament in Pakistan.
The ICC Chief Executive further said that Pakistan has been making regular visits to all its member countries so it is not difficult to have the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
Media reports have said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be satisfied after ICC’s assurance, but now the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) needs to do the planning.
According to the report, the Indian board will now have two options, either to play the Champions Trophy in Pakistan or withdraw from the tournament.
The report claimed that Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir and BCCI want to play this event, but it is a matter for the government to take a stand on it.
It should be noted that BCCI has not made any clear statement regarding the tour of Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, but it is certain that they will not play in Pakistan without the approval of the government.
India have not played a match in Pakistan since the Asia Cup 2008, while no bilateral series has been played between the two countries since Pakistan toured India in 2013-2012.
Last year also, Pakistan got to host the Asia Cup, but India refused to come to Pakistan, after which all the matches of India were scheduled in Sri Lanka under the hybrid model, where India won easily in the final played in Colombo. won the title by defeating Sri Lanka.
It should be noted that Pakistan will participate in this Champions Trophy as the defending champions, the last time the Champions Trophy was held in 2017 which was won by Pakistan under the leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed.
