Merged Districts Sports Website in Urgent Need of Update
Peshawar, KP: The official website of the Merged Districts Sports Directorate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in dire need of an update, raising concerns about the government’s commitment to sports development in the region.
The website, mergedsports.kp.gov.pk, continues to display outdated information, including a message from the late Chief Minister Azam Khan and profiles of officials who have moved to other departments. Additionally, the website features old training camp photos and limited information on sports facilities in the merged districts.
This lack of upkeep creates a negative image and hinders the promotion of sporting activities in the area. Despite the existence of a dedicated directorate, the website’s neglect raises questions about the government’s priorities.
Experts urge the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to take immediate action to update the website. This includes updating leadership information, providing accurate and up-to-date information about sports facilities, and uploading recent photos and information about training camps and sporting events.
By doing so, the government can create a transparent and informative platform to promote sports in the merged districts and encourage participation.
