Pakistan Sports Board has released funds of Rs 23 million for the Pakistan Hockey Team after the conclusion of the Asian Champions Trophy which ended yesterday.

In the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy held in China, Pakistan has won the bronze medal by defeating Korea, on which PHF president Tariq Bugti, who is with the national team in China, has announced that the national players will be awarded 100 dollars for winning the bronze medal and said.
That it is important to encourage the players after winning the bronze medal so that they can shine the name of the country by showing better performance in the future.
India has won the title of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy for the fifth time by defeating China, according to the press release of Pakistan Sports Board PHF. When claimed that they had already booked the tickets, PSB had assured payment on receipt of original receipts.
The Pakistan Sports Board dismissed the allegations of Pakistan Hockey Federation withholding funds for the participation of the national hockey team in the Asian Champions Trophy as baseless and said that the amount demanded by the PHF was more than the stipulated standard. It was more.
The PHF had requested US$60,000 for 27 players and six officials, with a budget of over Rs 55 million.
The PSB had instead offered to pay travel expenses for 19 players and four officials.
According to the Pakistan Sports Board, Rs 37.5 million and Rs 59.15 million have already been provided to the PHF.
While more financial support has been approved for the team’s participation in the Asian Champions Trophy. This includes the cost of food, accommodation, air tickets and visa fees for the players.
PSB also organized a three-week training camp at the Naseer Banda Hockey Stadium and arranged for the players to stay at the Sports Complex Islamabad.
The Pakistan Sports Board added that the delay in disbursement of funds was due to PHF’s failure to provide required documents including lists of players and officials, computer clearance proformas, undertakings, and shorty bonds.
In its statement, the PSB stressed that under Article 9.5 of the PHF constitution, the federation is responsible for raising its own funds.
The PSB and ministry of IPC had also released a special grant of Rs. 96.65 million to the PHF in the last six months for participating in different international tournaments, reinforcing its commitment to the development of hockey in Pakistan.
