The Federal Ministry of Education has announced Girls Sports Carnival at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad from October 18 to October 20. Nearly 4000 female athletes from across Pakistan including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan will participate in the mega sports events.

The three-day event aims to promote sports among young girls and provide them a platform to showcase their athletic talents.

According to the Senior Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Chairman Federal Board Syed Junaid Ikhlaq, the purpose of Girls Sports Carnival organized by Federal Directorate of Education and Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad is to promote sports among female students. And help them develop their skills.

All provinces will be represented at the Sports Carnival, ensuring a diverse and inclusive event, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to support sporting activities. Sports include Track and Field, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Tennis.

The aim of the Sports Carnival is to provide a stage for the students to maintain an active lifestyle through sports and inter-sport competitions and team building.

To promote the spirit of work and promote national unity through sports. The Ministry of Education is committed to empowering girls and promoting a culture of fitness and health through sports activities.

For the first time in the country’s history, only women will act as technical officials in the mega event of girls’ sports. According to the Senior Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Chairman Federal Board Syed Junaid Akhlaq,

the purpose of Girls Sports Carnival organized by Federal Directorate of Education and Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad is to promote sports among female students.

The opening ceremony will be held on October 18.
