Army Public School Rawalpindi won the football gold medal in Girls Sports Carnival

Under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad and the Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad,

the gold medal of football in Girls Sports Carnival 2024. Army Public School (APS) Humayun Road Rawalpindi won. The Education Board Mardan bagged Silver and Islamabad Model College (ICG) F Six Two Islamabad bagged Bronze Medal.

Meanwhile, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) certified coach in Pakistan Syeda Rubina Sadaquat was the Referee of the final match. While talking at occasion she stated it’s a great opportunity of young girls to showed their skill and talent in the mega event.

She further said that as coach and match referee think that young talent is ready to represent Pakistan on international level, she said that the natural talent can be good future of Pakistan. She said that as National football player I represent many nation event but happy to see the arrangement this three Girls Sports Carnival 2024.

Moreover, chief guest of the final, Federal Secretary Education Mohiuddin Wani along with Senior Joint Secretary Education and Chairman Federal Board Syed Junaid Akhlaq distributed prizes to the winning teams.

The winning team was awarded gold medals and Rs 15,000, the second team was awarded silver medals and Rs 10,000 while the third team was awarded bronze medals and Rs 7,000 cash prize.

On this occasion, Federal Secretary Education Mohiuddin Wani said that more than 4000 female students from all over the country participated in the Girls Sports Carnival organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Board and FDE.The Girls’ Sports Carnival aims to revive school sports and highlight the talent of girls.

He said that now they will make it a permanent annual event and expand its scope to all major cities of the country. Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball competitions were held in the Girls Sports Carnival. Today, Sunday, the closing ceremony of the mega event will be held at Liaquat Gymnasium

Federal Minister of Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will be the special guest. In the competitions, more than four thousand women athletes from across the country are participating in various sports events, including track and field events, basketball, football, volleyball. , including table tennis, badminton and tennis.
