Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chess Association Elections Scheduled for November 3

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chess Association elections are set to take place on November 3, 2024, under the supervision of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate. According to the association’s General Secretary, Kashif Saleem, the current office term, elected in 2020, has ended, and a new cabinet will be elected on November 3.
Reflecting on his four-year tenure, General Secretary Kashif Saleem highlighted the achievements of the association, particularly the numerous chess tournaments held across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a focus on Peshawar.
He commended President Umar Khan for his instrumental role in supporting these initiatives and acknowledged the dedication of all members, including prominent figures like Jibrael Raza, who contributed significantly to promoting chess in the region.
Kashif pledged to continue this momentum, promising that future efforts will remain committed to further advancing the sport of chess in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
