The Paper lions India piled up at home as well, New Zealand whitewashed India after 25 years in the Test series on home ground.
In the last Test match played in Mumbai, the Indian team failed to chase down the target of 147 runs and the whole team collapsed for 121 runs.
It should be noted that India has faced a whitewash in a home series since 1999, India has lost a whitewash in a 3-Test home series after 25 years.
Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Kohli failed miserably in the series, Rohit Sharma scored 91 runs in 6 innings while Virat Kohli scored 93 runs. New Zealand defeated India by 25 runs in the third match played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
New Zealand defeated India in all three of the 3-Test series in India, achieving a whitewash on home soil for the first time. New Zealand’s Ijaz Patel took the highest 11 wickets in the third match, while India’s Raship Pant scored the highest 60 in the first innings and 64 in the second innings.

In the second innings of the third Test, Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 11 runs while Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan could score one run each.
The New Zealand team was bowled out for 235 runs in the first innings and 174 runs in the second innings, while the host Indian team scored 263 runs in the first innings and 121 runs in the second innings. From February 2013 to October 2024, India’s series winning history at home grounds.
