He said that there are all facilities for the players in the academy, when Olympian Islahudin used to play in the field, Pakistan achieved numerous successes under his leadership and after his retirement, he is giving free training to the players in his academy, which is very good.
He said that there are many hockey academies in Australia, there is a better sports infrastructure, but the situation in Pakistan is different, at this time, Pakistan hockey is going through a difficult period. At the level, the government has to play its role.
Olympian Islahudin said that Pakistan and Australia have done many feats in the field of hockey and in cricket, these two countries have shown their skills at the world level, Neil Hawkins, an Olympian. Islahudin said that Neil Hawkins wants to promote the game of hockey in Pakistan. Islahudin said that he can take Pakistan hockey out of the difficult period but it needs to work with good intentions, it will take at least four years to get Pakistan back on its feet.
Earlier, the Australian Hockey Commission reached the hockey academy and was welcomed by the chairman of the academy, Olympian Islahudin, Olympian Ayaz Mehmood and the head coach of the academy, Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain.
Neil Hawkins was presented with a bouquet by the academy management. He talked to the girls and boys players under training, they mingled with the academy kids, shaik hands with them and played hockey with them.
