Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boxers Ready to Shine at Quaid-e-Azam Games: Faizur Rahman
PESHAWAR: Assistant Director of the Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faizur Rahman, emphasized the importance of sports for individuals of all ages, particularly the youth, as a vital means of staying engaged in positive activities.
He shared these views while addressing the provincial boxing team during his visit to their ongoing training camp at the Qayyum Sports Complex in Peshawar.
The provincial boxing team will represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games in Islamabad.
Accompanied by Provincial Boxing Association Secretary Khizarullah and Assistant Sports Officer Irshad Khan, Faizur Rahman reviewed the boxers’ performance during the training camp.
Praising their dedication, he remarked, “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s boxing team comprises talented athletes who have the potential to excel at the Quaid-e-Azam Games and bring pride to the province.”
Highlighting the significance of sports, he stated, “Sports are not only essential for physical fitness but also serve as a great way to engage the youth in constructive activities. Efforts are being made to promote sports across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing athletes with opportunities to refine their skills.”
Provincial Boxing Association Secretary Khizarullah shared that several initiatives are underway to promote boxing in the province, including international-standard training for athletes. Assistant Sports Officer Irshad Khan also lauded the players’ commitment and hard work.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boxing team is rigorously preparing for the Quaid-e-Azam Games, with a focus on enhancing the athletes’ physical and technical capabilities. The boxers expressed their enthusiasm and confidence in delivering an outstanding performance at the Games, with the hope of securing medals for the province.
