Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2024; Islamabad ready to host

ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad is fully prepared to host the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2024, which aim to promote national unity and youth participation.
The event will showcase talent from every corner of Pakistan and offer exciting competitions. The week-long sports event will be held from December 13 to December 19 at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, in which players from all over the country will participate.
Teams from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad will participate in these games.
The event will include a total of 15 sports, including athletics, badminton, boxing, football, hockey, judo, kabaddi, karate, squash, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling.
Male and female athletes will showcase their skills in individual and team competitions. Athletic events like 100m race, hurdles, relay and javelin throw will entertain the spectators, while team sports like football and hockey will offer exciting matches.
To appreciate the outstanding performance of the players, PSB has allocated a prize money of Rs 2 crore. Individual gold medal winners will be given Rs 20,000, silver medalists Rs 15,000, and bronze medalists Rs 10,000.
In team events, each player will be given Rs 15,000 for gold, Rs 10,000 for silver, and Rs 7,500 for bronze. In addition, the players will also be given trophies, medals and certificates worth Rs 4 million.
Fairness and discipline will be ensured during the games. Players under the age of 22 will be eligible to participate, provided they meet the regional representation criteria.
Any violations, such as misconduct or doping, will result in penalties and disqualification. The competitions will be held under the supervision of technical experts in accordance with international standards but with some modifications as per local requirements.
Free entry passes will be provided to the spectators to enjoy the event, which will be available at the Pakistan Sports Complex on a first-come, first-served basis.
The initiative aims to promote public participation and create an exciting atmosphere. The countdown has begun for the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2024, which will revive the sporting spirit of Pakistan and provide a platform for emerging talent.
