Trials Announced for Karachi Women’s Basketball Team

The Management and Scrutiny Committee of the Karachi Basketball Association held meeting on 14 December 2024 and is pleased to announce the trials for the selection of the Karachi Women’s Basketball Team for the upcoming National Women’s Basketball Championship 2024. Chairman Ashfaq Ahmed presided over the meeting.

Mr.Waseem-ur-Rehman and Aslam Niazi attended meeting as members of committee.The trials will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the LOB Basketball Court, Street 23, Khayaban-e-Roomi, Phase 8 DHA, Karachi.

This championship is a premier event on Pakistan’s basketball calendar, organized by WAPDA under the supervision of the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) from Dec 26-30, 2024.

The Karachi team will be among the eight top-tier teams competing for the national title, alongside squads from WAPDA, Army, Islamabad, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Hazara, and Faisalabad Divisions.

The Karachi Women’s Basketball Team will be finalized after the trials, team will undergo rigorous preparation before departing for Lahore on December 24, 2024, to participate in the championship.

Eligibility and Participation Details:
• All interested female basketball players are encouraged to participate in the trials.

• Participants must bring a valid CNIC or school/university ID for registration purposes.

• Selection will be based on fitness, technical skills, and performance demonstrated during the trials.

The Karachi Basketball Association is committed to fostering women’s basketball in the city and ensuring that the best talent represents Karachi at the national level.
