Bahria Town Champions T20 Cup: UMT Markhors, ABL Stallions final to be played on December 25.

The final of the Bahria Town Champions T20 Cup will be played between UMT Markhors and ABL Stallions on December 25 in Rawalpindi.
UMT Markhors defeated Noorpur Lions by 29 runs in the Bahria Town Champions T20 Cup qualifier.
Thus, UMT Markhors will face Allied Bank Stallions in the final to be held on December 25.
In the qualifier played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Lions won the toss and put Markhors to bat first, who scored 180 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Lions managed to score 151 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in reply. In Markhors’ innings, Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant batting and scored 89 runs off 64 balls, which included 9 fours and 5 sixes. This was his 47th half-century in T20 matches overall.
Afaq Afridi bowled well and took the wickets of the first three batsmen Khawaja Nafi (0), Muhammad Faizan (0) and Imran Randhawa (1). It may be recalled that Afaq Afridi bowled brilliantly in his debut match against Dolphins,
taking 5 wickets for 18 runs, including four wickets off four balls. Markhors’ problems increased when Shahab Khan took the wickets of captain Iftikhar Ahmed (14) and Mohammad Nawaz (10) at the total score of 88 runs for 5 wickets.
Fakhar Zaman and Abdul Samad added 82 runs in the sixth wicket partnership. Abdul Samad scored 41 runs and was not out, which included 2 sixes and 5 fours.
Afaq Afridi took 3 wickets for 29 runs. Shahab Khan took two wickets. Chasing a target of 181 runs, the Lions lost the wickets of Imam-ul-Haq and Umair Bin Yousuf for just 9 runs,
after which Hassan Nawaz and Mohammad Taha added 62 runs in the third wicket partnership, but Hassan Nawaz 27 and Mohammad Taha were out for 44 runs with the help of 4 sixes and a four, as Markhors’ grip on the match strengthened.
Among the batsmen to come, Rohail Nazir 12. Shahab Khan 4, Aamir Yameen 0, Shahid Aziz 4 and Khushdil Shah were out for 8 runs.
Akif Javed took 3 wickets for 22 runs. Nisar Ahmed took two wickets. Fakhar Zaman was declared the Player of the Match.
