Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PMMAF) Makes History
Karachi: The Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PMMAF), under the visionary leadership of its President Zulfiqar Ali, has set a new milestone in the field of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). With a mission to produce world-class fighters, enhance technical expertise, and bring innovation to the sport, PMMAF has achieved extraordinary success this year.
Under the patronage of PMMAF, Muhammad Saqib won a gold medal in competitions held among 63 countries, becoming Pakistan’s first World MMA Champion. Additionally, Dr. Isra Waseem has made history by becoming the first Pakistani woman to be internationally recognized as an MMA referee and judge.
Dr. Isra Waseem’s inclusion in the GAMMA International Technical Team marks a historic moment for Pakistan. This achievement not only reflects her hard work and dedication but also highlights PMMAF’s commitment to innovation and inclusivity in sports.
PMMAF has taken a groundbreaking step by certifying Dr. Isra Waseem as Pakistan’s first female MMA referee, promoting women’s inclusion and professional opportunities in the sport. This historic achievement exemplifies the federation’s commitment to empowering women in sports.
It is worth noting that in 2023, Dilawar Khan Sannan became Pakistan’s first internationally recognized MMA referee and judge. His inclusion in the GAMMA International Technical Official (ITO) team significantly enhanced Pakistan’s presence on the global MMA stage.
Under the visionary leadership of Zulfiqar Ali, PMMAF has not only raised the standard of athletes to international levels but also laid a solid foundation for technical education, professional training, and global representation for Pakistan.
