Lahore, Karachi enters into National Women’s Basketball Semi-Finals

The line-up for the semi-final round of the National Women’s Basketball Championship has been finalized, with teams from Lahore and Karachi securing spots in the knockout stage.
On the final day of the pool round of the ongoing championship, organized by the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) at Wapda Sports Complex Lahore, Karachi narrowly defeated Faisalabad 23-19 to advance to the semi-finals. Dina Qazvi led Karachi’s effort with 7 points.
In the second match, Lahore triumphed over Hazara with a dominant 54-4 victory, powered by Aima Khan’s 19 points and Khadija Mushtaq’s 8 points.
Also, on the last day of the pool round, Wadpa clinched the top spot in Pool A by defeating Bahawalpur 84-19. Kainat Zafar contributed 13 points, while Sahrish Nawaz added 12 points for WAPDA.
The semi-finals of the championship will be held today (Sunday). Defending champions Wapda and Lahore will face off in the first semi-final, while Army will take on Karachi in the second semi-final.
The final of the event is scheduled for December 30.
