Darren Gough Appointed Head Coach of Lahore Qalandars for HBL PSL 10

Lahore Qalandars has confirmed the appointment of legendary English fast bowler Darren Gough as the Head Coach for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.

This marks a successful return for Gough in the role, who previously had a successful stint with Qalandars during the inaugural Global Super League last year.

Under his guidance during the Global Super League, Lahore Qalandars demonstrated exceptional performances while qualifying for the semi-finals of the inaugural edition of the tournament. His association with Lahore Qalandars is set to invigorate the squad with renewed energy and a focus on building a championship-winning team.

At 54, Darren Gough combines exceptional on-field achievements with off-field expertise. From 1994 to 2006, he was a standout performer for England, becoming their leading ODI wicket-taker and one of their top four bowlers across all formats. After retiring,

Gough transitioned to media as a respected cricket commentator before moving into coaching and administration. He worked as England’s bowling consultant in 2020 and later served as Managing Director of Cricket at Yorkshire.

On his appointment, Darren Gough expressed his enthusiasm, saying: ”I am absolutely thrilled to be back with Lahore Qalandars. The passion and energy of the team, along with its incredible fan base, are unmatched.
