Very good talent shaping up in the DP World ILT20 Season 3, Waqar Younis

Iconic commentators and cricketing greats swapped their bats with golf clubs on a sunny Friday afternoon to tee-off alongside DP World global ambassador Tommy Fleetwood, renowned professional golfer, here at the award-winning Els Club in Dubai hosted on the sidelines of the DP World ILT20 Season 3.
Over the past editions, the DP World ILT20 Golf Day has become a regular fixture in the calendar during the month-long cricket festivities here in the UAE, providing a grand opportunity for the cricketers to enjoy the picturesque course and test their skills with the clubs.
The Golf Day witnessed DP World ILT20 cricketers Ben Dunk, Glen Chapple, Adam Rossington, Brandon McMullen, Scott Kuggeleijn and batting coach Ian Bell from Dubai Capitals tee-off at the course. Gulf Giants’ stars James Vince,
bowling coach Ottis Gibson along with Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tim Seifert, Jason Roy from Sharjah Warriorz and Michael Jones, and Adam Hose from Desert Vipers too joined the proceedings at the Golf Day.
Among the commentators and presenters were Waqar Younis, Simon Doull, Nikhil Chopra, Urooj Mumtaz Khan, Alan Wilkins and Laura McGoldrick while match officials Paul Wilson, umpire Martin Saggers and DP World ILT20 CEO David White were also present.
Speaking about his experience at the Els Club, legendary Pakistani pacer Waqar Younis, part of the star-studded ILT20 commentary panel said, “Playing nine holes with ex-cricketers and current cricketers and commentators was great fun. The golf day was planned out well and it’s a good break for everyone in the middle of the tournament,” expressed Waqar.
He further added, “I have seen some very good talent shaping up in the DP World ILT20 Season 3, it’s a very good tournament and provides great platform for youngsters, particularly from UAE.
Farhan Khan is an exciting player to watch, he is only 18 and has good future.”
