Albaraka Bank 9th National Road Cycling Championship Continues in Islamabad
Islamabad, By Nawaz Gohar – The Albaraka Bank 9th National Road Cycling Championship is in full swing on Iran Avenue, Islamabad. Organized by the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF),
the championship features top cyclists from across Pakistan competing in various categories. Despite rain on the first day, the races were successfully conducted on February 21, 2025.
Following today’s events, a prize distribution ceremony was held at Jinnah Hall, Pakistan Sports Board. Mr. Shahid Ul Islam, DD PSB, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded medals to the winners of the first two days’ competitions.

Under-23 Men’s Road Race , Yousaf (SSGC) – Gold , Sana Ullah (KPK) – Silver , Bilal (Crank Addict) – Bronze
Elite Men’s Road Race ; Ali Ilyas Jawaid (SSGC) – Gold , Umar Farooq (KPK) – Silver , Shan (SSGC) – Bronze
Junior Men’s Road Race ; Saad Khan (KPK) – Gold , Wasif Ali (Punjab) – Silver , Shayan Aziz (Bikestan) – Bronze
Women’s Junior Road Race ; Carol Patras (Punjab) – Gold , Zoofishan (POF Wah) – Silver , Suhaira Gul (Balochistan) – Bronze
Women’s Elite Road Race ; Rabia Garib (SSGC) – Gold , Bisma Choudhry (Bikestan) – Silver , Zainab Rizwan (Bikestan) – Bronze
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Guest praised PCF’s efforts and congratulated the winners. PCF President Syed Azhar Ali Shah commended the cyclists for their performances and thanked Albaraka Bank for its support.
“This championship highlights Pakistan’s emerging cycling talent and strengthens our commitment to promoting the sport nationwide,” he said.
The event, attended by dignitaries, sports officials, and cycling enthusiasts, provided a platform for young and professional cyclists to showcase their potential.
The championship will conclude with a grand closing ceremony on February 23 at Jinnah Sports Stadium, Islamabad. PCF expressed gratitude to Albaraka Bank for its sponsorship and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong cycling culture in Pakistan.
