Girls should participate in martial arts activities for self-defense, Tahira Bano Mubarak
RAWALPINDI ; Lahore High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi’s newly elected Executive Member and former National Assembly candidate Ms. Tahira Bano Mubarak Advocate has said that girls should participate in martial arts for self-defense as it can help them protect themselves.
Martial arts can also help in building confidence, physical fitness and mental strength in girls. Ms. Tahira Bano Mubarak Advocate, while talking to the media on the occasion of the Master Degree Black Belt Test at the
headquarters of the So-Kyushu Federation in Bahria Town Rawalpindi, added that parents and teachers should encourage girls to participate in sports competitions like martial arts.
“I am very happy to see the girls and children at Raja Martial Arts Club World So-Kyokushin Federation Headquarters Bahria Town, Rawalpindi,” said Tahira Bano Mubarak,
the newly elected Executive Member of the High Court Bar Association. She explained the benefits of martial arts for girls and added that martial arts classes help girls build self-confidence, be less violent towards others and learn to protect themselves.
Miss Tahira Bano Mubarak said that Raja’s Martial Arts Club is not just about physical activity – it is also about developing social skills. Just like with any sport, children who attend the classes get the opportunity to make friends, learn to control their emotions, develop patience and become more resilient to the challenges they face in life.
